Dumb Plumbing Question???
I'm getting ready to replace a hose, I think its 3/4" but theres no markings. To get the right hose, do I can I take a tape measure for cloths, measure the circumference and get an accurate or estimate as to the size of hose it is??? Its been in place for 4 yrs, getting ready to replace pump and sump....

I'd measure for the diameter not circumference

Yea it sounded fishy. Just wanted to make sure you were taking right measurement, Good luck on new sump and pump. Is the hose for the return?

Yes.... I plumbed it 4 yrs ago myself... Its been working and my tanks doing great, but I've learned Alot since then, old pump is getting weak, there are not shut off valves from sump to pump or from pump to tank.. Replacing pump, adding shut offs, getting a new better sump and just making it a better system in general...
Will take the old pump, get it serviced and keep it as a back-up....
