These work as described , they extend your WIRED network through your house using the pre-existing house wiring. I bought 2 sets of these last year and used them for about 2 months...they work outstanding downstairs and OK uptairs. I went another route and havent used them since. These are great for the hard to reach places around the house or if you do not like having WIFI...or especially for gamers its a much better connection than WIFI.
