Kevin, you have obviously not dealt with crows before. They may be irritating, but they are entertaining at the same time. They are quite intelligent, so taking a clothespin from the line isn't a real mental challenge to them.

Better than those )&(&^&^ grackles. I HATE THOSE THINGS. Noisy, messy, screeching ugly birds. I do not tolerate them, at all. That and screeching house sparrows are the two birds I cannot stand. I have a lot of birds around here.......wrens, mockingbirds, bluejays, cardinals, rosy finches, hummers of several species. I love them all, but not the grackles. I declared war on them a couple of years ago when I saw them kill one of my hummers. This is was not acceptable. The grackles don't come here much now, they figured out that my trees are not friendly.

I will tolerate the crows, since I think the silliness will stop once they get their nest built. And little wrens can have their sock to pull threads out of, I'll just leave it on the line. I actually just clipped some dryer lint right next to it, in case they would like that too.
