    Out of now where my corals started bleaching at bases... Would like input on possible causes....

    my caps bleached when i let the temp get to hi once..but they came back when ever thing got back on track

    That could be it, its the only thing I've done recently, changed the light in my sump to a 6500k daylight bulb from Walmart....

    My experience with bleaching bases are either flatworms for acros, monti eating nudis for you guessed it, and alk swings. If it's flatworms, you will not see them. I had a milli doing the same thing and could not see a thing on it. When I dipped it, there were hundreds of aefw coming off of it.
