They have a 2' X 2' spread at 13" above the water line. I am running 2 on my 4' X 2' 120g tank. I will be adding a 3rd module because I have some shadowing that I am not happy about, but I have plenty of light going into my tank.

Your tank is 4' X 3' correct? I could see you getting away with 3 modules arranged in a V pattern to start.

That's not too bad, I was thinking that I would need five, three in the front and two in the back.

Notice I said to start with. I was taking into account your overflows in the back corners. The only issue I can see is the middle of your tank from front to back.

Three across the front and one behind?

    Possibly.

If not you would lose 6" of light front and back. 3 is a good starting point and see what it gives you.

I don't even know why I'm considering it... I've been warming the spouse up for a lift kit for my el truck-o. This would certainly impede that intent. Perhaps I should just stick with the MP40s.

How high do you have them placed above your water surface. Mine are at 13" but before that I was at about 10" and it didnt look right. The guys at Elegant Reef where I bought them from told me to raise them up, once I did, the lights looked way better.

Firewater, I was looking at the new pucks too but I gotta wait till Neptune updates the controller and who knows how long that will take.

I start off at 35 go to 50 and use cloud cover for about 40% to change it up durning the day. I was increasing it slowly to 60, but it look so good at that level, i have left it alone.
