Basically, what the title says. I'm looking to buy acrylic- preferably here in san antonio because I need it cut to my specifications.
BTW what do you cut acrylic with (tool)?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Adriana

There might be snazzier blades but I use a blade I picked up at Lowes specifically for plastic for under $20.
I also like Allied Plastic. They are super nice and can cut a sheet up for you as well (probably not in a gazillion little pieces lol but 3 or 4 cuts they don't seem to mind)

IF YOU GO TO ALLIED, ASK TO SPEAK TO MICKEY HES BEEN THERE A LONGG LONG TIME AND KNOWS ABOUT US REEFERS AND OUR INTENTIONS WITH ACRYLIC LOL

I get my acrylic at HD when they have a good selection. I use a table saw and a 80 tooth carbide blade (picked up from Harbor Freight) and it cuts nice and smooth. If you do use a table saw or router do it outside as it gets very messy and wear eye protection.
I've never been to allied, but I've been to regal a few times. You can buy their scraps for cheap if you don't need full sheets. I bought around 50lbs of pieces I hand picked from their scrap shelves and paid $30 for it. Various thicknesses, sizes, and brands.

Thank you for your advice. I think I will be visiting Allied this weekend. I'm trying to keep the sump/fuge as simple as possible. I was looking at Melev's reef and he has a simple design that I believe I can copy. REFUGIUM ----> OUT TAKE <------ INTAKE/SKIMMER
What do you guys think? I'm open to suggestions..
Sounds like a plan. That's pretty much the standard when running a submersible pump.
