Hanna phosphate meter I can borrow?
I am treating BRS dry rock in lanthanum chloride to remove the phosphates before it goes in my DT. However, I don't have a good phosphate meter to see what's actually going on with the levels, I am winging it for now. From what I know only the Hanna meters are accurate. They are $50 and I only need to use it for a week or two until I can verify the phosphates are no longer leaching into the water. I was hoping I could borrow one for this process. Thanks everyone.

why would you only need a week, you should always check phosphates in your system thru out the life of the tank. 50 is not alot if you think about how much a quality kit cost($20-30) and how easy the hanna is to use and its accuracy. i just picked one up at Elegant Reef and very happy with it.

I plan to get one eventually, but don't have the funds for it at the moment. I dropped close to $300 on salt and substrate at EG this weekend and another $150 on aluminum and acrylic for my LED fixture so I am picking my battles. I want to borrow one so I can test the water the dry rock is sitting in to tell if it's still leaching or not.
