Well usually the mouth isn't intact for a few days so it cannot really take in food or digest properly (since the split is at the mouth). So until that heals up, it just doesn't eat. Just the basics on parameters, assuming there is no reason for ammonia or nitrite in your tank then just check on pH and nitrate and make sure they are reasonable.
