Need help with upgrading macbook anyone out there know Macs??

well i have a macbook pro that I would like that I would like to upgrade ram and memory and also Im about to get a mac pro g5. I haven't taken the plunge yet so I wanted to make sure it is something I can upgrade. I have been looking online and can't seem to find any information on if it is a unit I can upgrade. So any help would be much appreciated.

i would skip that g5 myself. its harder and harder to get support for the older stuff.

i could help you with the memory upgrade on your current setup though. wont take a few minutes

What year is your MBP? Depending on the model, you can upgrade a lot more than you'd expect. On our daughter's MBP (2008 15" model) I upgrade the hard drive to a 1TB 7200rpm drive, and upgrade her to 4GB of RAM. Now that puppy screams, and has a ton of storage, to boot. Granted, you'd want to be comfortable enough to completely take apart the system to make those changes, but hey, I worked in the tech industry for a decade prior to joining the Army, so I was pretty good to go.
