GFO????

This has happened twice...I rinse my GFO till it rinses clear w DI water, put it in my reactor and then its still released into my tank....Just wanted to know how fellow members go about avoiding this problem.. I'm using a filter sock, have two till water comes clear again, water if freaking cloudy as all heck....

i put mine in my reactor and run it into a pitcher till reactor runs clear. i use the hight grade gfo from brs that elegant reef sells

Done that... I also get my GFO from Elegant Reef.... Maybe just not rinsing enough....

is it the dust blowing in the tank or the actual gfo??

I use the BRS GFO from Elegant and run it through a little fishes reactor using a very small pump and throttle it down to about 40 gallons an hour. It takes about a gallon of waste water till it runs perfectly clear.

Its in the tank... Its my fault, didn't rinse it well enough.....Just need to try a new way of rinsing or does anyone know of a good strainer I could use for next time...
