My thoughts exactly. The Korallin unit I have wasn't cheap. The construction, however, is top notch. All the fittings are Schedule 80 fittings, and the acrylic is very thick. Plus, there's an eheim pump. The sulphur pearl media is like almost $100 by itself.
I converted a next reef reactor, and used an old eheim pump I had laying around. Went ahead and used the caribsea sulphur chips. Including the reactor, pvc fittings, tubing, and sulphur, my conversion cost about $150, but the quality is no where near Korallin's.
I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.
