Smile Planted Betta Tank - "The Rebuild"

Well thanks to karin I got my old planted betta tank back. I plan to set it up the same way it was over a year ago, Drift wood covered in java moss and dwarf baby tears for ground cover. I will use the same internal filter/powerhead and my old DIY co2 reactor. The main change I will do this time is, I replaced the old seachem substrate for some new fluval stratum substrate I had laying around. After almost 2 years the old substrate would be useless for adding mineral/etc. The other thing I'm doing different is starting by growing the ground cover emersed. This is just growing them like house plants (in open air or very shallow water), this method can be used for certain plants and speeds up growth time alot, what would take 4-6 months under water could be done in 1-2 months in open air with the right moisture and ferts. For those who have never seen this tank this is my old thread.

Here are a couple pics after I got the tank cleaned, new substrate added and dwarf baby tear pieces planted. The reason for the cover over the tank is to help hold in humidity for the plants.

Not exactly, I did find a really nice halfmoon today but he will have to stay in another small betta tank I have until this one is ready.
