Using GFO ????

please share ur experience who runs GFO 24/7....Pros and cons of it....
i used it for a month...my hair algae was gone completely within a month but for some reason it was affecting my corals..acans werent fully opening and less poly extensions on sps....
after i took it off all my live stock started to do better and hair algae came back also...

if you use a high quality gfo you can strip your system too quickly. that will shock your coral, I have killed or stressed some acans and shrooms and ricordia. it's best if you slowly bring it up the amount you use slowly. I run the high grade BRS gfo.

I run a pound of the brs gfo. I love it. I haven't noticed any ill affects but my phosphates weren't that high to begin with so maybe it didn't shock them like Chris said.
