blue leg hermit shells and jetty hermit shells
Some of my crabs are getting bigger than their big turbo snail shells. Nobody selling big hermit shells. There are some big shells at hobby lobby.
A little concerned about they put on them. Is there a way to prep the shell before I put them in the tank?

Are the shells all natural? What about soaking/scrubbing them in vinegar before use? 9% vinegar is my best friend for cleaning.Originally Posted by BBQHILLBILLY

Hey dude, I have a handful of old shells that you are welcome to. They e been sitting here for a minute and insure your crabs will fit.
The egg crate is for size comparison.

I have some really big ones soaking in vinegar from hobby lobby. hopefully that will be ok. Ill try one at a time
