that's a good point, you don't have to sell me on Apple though, that's what I like about Apple...quality products everytime, and products that last. But, if that quality product won't work well on Sprint then that's a different story. I'm not switching carriers so just trying to find the best phone for me personally not the "best" phone out there.

On another note...it IS possible that the droid phones are getting better, they have had time to "get it right", it is even possible for a "copy-cat" to do it better, which we may see at some point.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to give the 4S a shot...but just hoping to read on the forums some positive feedback on all the connection problems. I guess if it takes longer than a week or two I'll go for it and hope for the best.

The Sprint 4S users in this thread are saying no connection issues so I'm hoping I'll have the same luck but that's not what I witnessed on my sis-in-law's phone, she hates it and only has a few more days left under the 14 day trial before she has to make a choice. It was pretty much useless so at this point I'm pretty skeptical.

On the other hand the only complaint I've seen on the Epic Touch is a glitch in the refresh of new emails for pop accounts. I also like the huge screen...I need to work on the phone so that's a huge plus for me while connection problems on 4S could be a HUGE problem for me.

One more note...I have been in and out of the sprint store several times since the 4S released and have talked to everyone I can...including customers in the store and ALL of the employees that will listen to my jabber box and one day 6 of the 8 employees that I talked with stated they were getting the Epic 4G Touch, not one of the 8 were getting the 4S with Sprint. They said they are getting too many complaints. That says a lot to me, not about Apple but obviously about the connection/speed problems they are having with the 4S on the sprint network.

I ordered the wife a 4s today. We are on Verizon though so hopefully we won't have any connecting issues. I preordered the Razr today as well.

For what it's worth Xander is using a first generation HTC Eris. It still works flawlessly too.

Apple was first to the plate with the new smart phone craze that is why they get everything compared to them. I remember way back in the day when anything Blackberry was the bomb.

Alright, a couple of weeks ago I decided to go with the Galaxy S II, AKA 4G Epic Touch. Deciding factor came down to Sprint still having problems with data on the iPhone 4S and the screen size. The iphone4S screen is a little small for my taste and the Epic Touch's screen is huge!

I love it, but I could see some people thinking the screen might be a little too large. It's a 4.5" (diagonal) screen making the phone 5.5" diagonal in total. But, it's super light and flat. Very sleek.

I'm amazed by the quality of the camera too, for someone like me who is not a photographer and who takes frequent coral pics it's perfect. Does not replace the quality of a professional photographer who knows what they are doing but it does get the job done.

I still want an iPhone because I like Apple products but not until Sprint get's it worked out and Apple releases a new version with a larger screen.

My wife has been on this phone for a couple of months now and she's still a happy camper...loves her phone.

I will and I'm really hoping Apple can at least get another 1" on their screen. It's hopeful...forums and blog sites are already starting to talk about this:

Another cool note on the Epic Touch is the camera takes panorama pics...so flippin cool. Pretty seamless too when I was folling around with it.

My wife has a Samsung Vibrant, and it's too big. My Motorola Defy, has a slightly smaller screen, but you can use it with 1 hand, unlike the big phones. With "swype", it's a one-handed text machine. I can't do the same with the larger vibrant. Now, If I had hands like Allan, I could one-hand a tablet!

I might be the only one hoping they dont.... The screen size is just right for a phone IMO. Anything larger starts looking like a PDA or palm, are those things still around anymore?
