so Tek is rolling out a new VHO T5, so a super T5 light. looks great except the heat but hey we all battle heat issues with out powerful lights, just add a fan.

If the unit is getting that hot so that you cant
touch the top, wouldn't that mean the bulbs would run out
faster? I would think they would come up with a solution for the heat
since they are competing with LEDs. shoot my current 6 bulb doesn't get that hot.

These have been out for a while now. Only down side is that currently there is only one light manufacturer making T5VHO lamps. So were very limited on bulb choices. These are also passively cooled. My guy over at sunlight supply says that these things stay cool without fans. I really want to see it for myself. If/when I get one I'll write a review.
