Default Making my water crystal clear

Could anyone give me some ideas plz on how they make their water more clear? It seems I have a lot of particles and stuff floating around. I tried using a sock but after a couple days it ends up over-flowing from the top of it.

The sock is meant to be swapped out for a new one so you can clean the old one. Filter media (floss) will help clear the water. But you have to change it out periodically, I try to do it every three days. There are arguements that a filter left in place after three days begin to produce nitrates. The sea isn't a partical free zone, neither should your tank be one IMO. I believe some of that stuff is beneficial to your fish.

If your water is hazy you can use something like carbon to pull out the smaller stuff that is clouding the tank.

run a nice high grade carbon and change it out bi monthly. chemipure elite works well too. use good water, nothing beats having your own RO/DI unit. also good flow to keep all gunk suspended so your filters can do there job.

Allan, took your advice and bought 2 more filter socks, so I have 3 total now. I plan to change them every 3 days and see how that does.

Big Pun, I also took your advice and got some carbon. I put the new filter sock and the bag of carbon in today, so hopefully this will make a HUGE difference for me. Thx again guys!
