Default Electric Current Cause Illness ?

Just Discovered that my 36 watt UV Sterilzer is Causing Stray Electrical Current to Come in Contact with My Water due to a Broken Glass that is supposed to surround the Bulb. Anyhow does anyone believe (hoping Alton) chimes in. Does anyone think that it its possible that this Strong Current (that's been SHOCKING THE CRAP OUT OF ME ! Can potentially Cause Illness in a Fish ? I've just recently Lost a few out of the CLEAR BLUE !

Stray voltage is said to be a cause of HLLE also. Get a ground probe. I think Alton will agree 100%, everyone should have a ground probe on their tank. Could save your fish, could save your life!

Chlorine is made by inducing electrical current into salt water.

As mentioned above - Main thing to worry about is frying yourself. You need a grounding probe as a life safety issue for yourself and the tank inhabitants. Alton will tell you that.
As Jack said the electricity can cause off gassing as well.

GFCI Receptacles and Grounding Probe, along with making sure you have a good service ground. Without a good service ground, a grounding probe will actually use your tank as a grounding means and put current into your tank. Sorry to hear about your trouble.
