Bill, in competition skeet you shoot all 4 guns. 100 rounds each of 12,20,28 and .410. and most of the top guys at the NSSA world championship will run a straight 100 in .410.
Lots of shooters choose the 20 ga. to shoot the 12 ga. class because it kicks less.
I don't shoot the world anymore but when I did I did fair. I could get in the mid to upper 90s in .410. and have shot 100's in 12 and 28
