Took this out of my sons tank awhile back and had it sitting in my garage in a bucket of water with a powerhead. I was having a green hair algae problem in his tank and thought it was maybe too much rock, took out this piece and it wasnt the problem. It was sitting in my garage covered with a powerhead for 2 months and it seems to be fine. I did a couple of water changes with in that time and one today with my regular water change from my tank....
The piece weighed in @ 13lbs and should have a purple shroom pop out in the next tank its in..... asking $25.
In case your wondering, I also thought the problem was not enough flow and bought a MP10... That wasnt it either. It was cause I added some chaeto to the media basket and that sparked it.... I took it out placed chemipure elite and its vanishing....
