Raw Food (again)
this time for people!
Did you know that there are a couple of co-ops in and around San Antonio where you can get raw milk from?
You can get some info on raw milk at www.realmilk.com
I have a co-op just 6 miles from my house and the milk comes from Styk Dairy in Schulenburg. There's a co-op right in San Antonio that gets raw milk from Miller's in La Coste
You can drink it or cook with it but you can also:
make your own yogurt (and it's super easy! http://www.nourishingdays.com/2009/0...our-crock-pot/ )
make your own butter
or make your own cheese (www.cheesemaking.com - the homebrew store in SA has the cheesemaking stuff too though!)
even people who are normally lactose intolerant can often tolerate raw milk very well.
And it's fun. I just went to a cheesemaking workshop yesterday
