    Default Peppermint Shrimp Quiz

I, like many others, got peppermints from the coast recently. I had at least 15 aiptasia in my petite BC14. Within 3 days they were all destroyed, muahaha. Then, my acans start disappearing. I knew it would happen if I didn't get them out of there because they ate my acans last time (in my 58g). I tried catching them, but finally got motivated to rip my tank apart when one of my Ding Dang PE's looked damaged the very next day after purchasing it. There is one happy, full lion fish now :-D

So, am I cursed or have you noticed problems too?

Never had problems. I had almost 20 in my 75 when it was packed with SPS.

Justin, I have never had problems with them in my own experience BUT I still won't put any in the business frag tanks....I can see it now...RASTAS GONE! Sunny D's - GONE! and everything else that's not aiptasia! lol

I've heard way too many people having trouble so I only keep them in my 55g that's made up of softies and LPS.

acans, micromussa, blastos - easy targets for them if they arent well fed by aiptaisia... (yes, past experience)

I was really worried about adding them, and went back and forth on how many to add. I ended up putting 6 in a 90g, and haven't seen a sign of them since. I'm fairly sure after all that worrying, they were eaten by the angel.

Unfortunately, the molly miller blenny I added to the same tank destroyed my favorite clam and damaged a scoly.

Don't write the pepps off as disappeared yet. Mine were MIA for a couple weeks before showing up during tank feedings.

    They also like Clove polyps.

Anyone know a good DIY shrimp trap?
