I am currently a bartender, and have been in the business for just shy of 15 years now. I've got so many stories about things I've seen and done that I could probably write a book. It really is a lot of fun, especially if you're good at it. You can easily make up to $2,000 a week or more (cash) if you're in the right place. I plan to get out of the business within a year or so and will probably end up with a job doing outside sales for an oil & gas company. My oldest daughter will start kindergarten next year and I want to have a regular day job by that time. As much fun as it is, and even though I will actually take a relatively large pay cut starting out, I don't want my daughter to go to school and be embarassed because Daddy is a bartender.Originally Posted by tony
