    Default Attaching plugs to rocks?

Im needing to attach some corals to my rock work, the kicker is that i dont want to break apart my rockscape just so i can do this.
The corals are currently attached to plugs so sticking them in a hole in the rock is out and i haven't had any luck using that epoxy puddy stuff. That epoxy stuff just hardens around the plug then the urchins easily pull them out.

Can i get some other suggestions.

You can cut the post off the plug and then use a gel super glue. I use Loctite and some from Bulk Reef Supply and have good experiences with both.

Plus one on John's suggestion, with one caveat. Be sure you either turn off your power heads before you put the glue laden disc into the water, or shield it from direct flow.

I didn't one time, and the power head pushed the glue out and around the tank. The tangs all thought it was food so they all ended up with glue whiskers. I thought I was going to lose my tangs.

+2 I use my dremmel with a diamond blade to cut the post off and use locktite gel superglue to glue it to the rock.

I've had good results with a glue-and-putty combo. Try this:

Live rock -> super glue -> epoxy -> super glue -> frag plug

The super glue helps bond the epoxy to the plug and rock while the epoxy cures. I've had better luck with the sandwich than with either adhesive used alone.
