    Default DIY LED

Need some help with a 12 piece led setup. I have bought all the pieces and with the exception of one led being doa, have wired them and attached to the heatsink. So after i stringed the 11 leds in a series and connected them to my driver/powers supply. When i plugged it all leds flickered and then the first one popped (closest to the + driver).Anybody know what i may have done wrong? By the way I'm using a solderless connection that screws on top of the leds.I bought the kit from rapidled and will be order a couple of extra leds for the burnt out one.If anyone can help me with this and get this running I will give some frags in exchange for expertise . In a tight spot cuz i got to downsize my 75 gallon asap and sell it, so this will go in a 12 gallon to keep a few corals that ill keep until i can move into a new house.

What power supply voltage are you running? I believe it needs less than a 10Volt power supply for the solderless connectors to work.

Looks I'll may have to solder then. My driver is this Mean Well LPC-35-700W constant current driver. When i bought the solderless connexlctions they didnt mention any incompatability with the parts i bought. I'm going to try to get a hold of a friend that has a solder gun and recheck all my connections again.

Before you do that. Check with Rapid LED first to make sure I am correct. I do not have fist hand experience with this. Just did a bunch of research when I was going to build my own fixtures.

Thanks, Firewater. I got it working after rapid led gave me some pointers. The solderless connectors work it was a bad connection on the positive driver. I post some pics once i mount it.
