I'm currently using Seachem Reef salt but about a week ago I bought two buckets of Redsea Coral Pro. There was a group buy on ARC and it was too good of a deal to pass up. I don't stick to a particular brand. I've used Tropic Marin Biowhatever, Salinity and a slew of others. I can't say I've really noticed much of a difference on any of them. :P

I have used reef crystals for 2 years very good, going to be trying Kent marine reef salt. I went with Gabe to a trade show and the guys at Kent marine made it sound better, they change for formula up a lil for reefers more cal and other stuff. will keep you posted

I'm still wondering about that the stuff is made in huge batches there would be more people with problems not just one bucket and batches are tested so they would know or at least track down a bad batch.

Just curious, if you have been using RC with no issues for 2 years why would you switch it up?

I had problems with red sea as well, and I am more than sure it is from the same batch...

all the store had, just a 50g jug to see if the guys I talked to where right, I test before I use stuff any way so not worried. a while back i also used a bucket of microbe lift reef salt that I got free. microbe lift was very nice but hard to find locally or on the net. i like trying new stuff, cal was high mag was right on at about 1400 and it mixed clear in(10 gal) in about 10 min.

I have used tropic marin, oceanic, reef crystals, and now switched to brightwells and I love it. It's made in the good ol USA, in PA. They make it in smaller batches so that they have better quality control. But the calcium level might be low for some peoples liking, I Just do weekly water changes of 10%

The only salt I didn't like that I've tried before is the Oceanic. Didn't dissolve well for me and always left crusties...

I used Tropic Marin in the past, but I did seem to constantly have cyano issues. I'm using Tunze Reef Excel right now and everything seems great.
