Where do people get frozen food?
I am new to the area and getting back into reefs. In MI I had a shop that had really good prices which I couldn't beat by buying online. What do people do here? Is there a place that has good prices or do people buy online? Thanks for the input.

We mostly buy local, trying to support our local sponsors, but have done group food buys in the past when doing quantity. Aquarium Designs always has a good selection, as did Gabe (before he moved, not sure now, harder to get to his newer store for us due to location.) I have heard a non sponsor off of 410 has good prices, but we mostly try to support our sponsors whenever possible..Oh and welcome to MAAST. Good group of people on here, shout if you need anything.

Mike forgot to mention Polly's Pet Store, who always offers a great selection of frozen foods. You'll have to visit them all and see which ones you like best!

I go to AD most the time for food and salt. They are actually pretty competitive, close (to me),and have a good variety. I usually buy the cheaper brand on the top shelves. I've had good results with their frozen mysis and brine/spirulina mix...but I also use nori, phyto, and other coral foods in conjunction. Additionally, I was supprised to find a free package of instant ocean gel packet vegie food in my latest purchase of salt (bucket). At first the fish didn't seem to care for it - I think they thought it was poop! But it now appears they are cool with it.

Polly's is awesome. I'd say about 10 feet wide of frozen food selection with glass doors so you can peruse it without feeling like you are defrosting their stuff.
They also have the more unusual stuff like oyster eggs in frozen cubes, etc.
