Yeah, that's what I thought at first, until you read the reviews. Try Beer Advocate.

No particular brand - seems like they are only available in small quantities in the US - from small brewers. I spent an hour at Specs today - none to be had.

I can buy 2 bottles, shipped for $40. That sounds like a good deal, doesn't it?

    $40.... sounds like a bargain

I will check out Gabriel's. I haven't been to Spec's, but I have heard other people say Gabriel's is better as far as prices.

Tried it again... It's okay, but will not become my favorite.

Bill, Kristy is spending 10 weeks in Germany this summer. When I go visit, I will try to drink a bunch of German beer for you.

Did you try it in a bottle or glass?

    Mike,

PLEASE try my all time favorite. It's Austrian, but you should be able to find it: Kaiser Dopplemaltz. It's a great "after dinner" beer.

If you haven't already, give Brewhouse Brown Ale from Blanco brewery a try. It might be up your alley...

I think I've seen it at some HEB's.

Now THAT'S funny, Richard. About 4pm TODAY, my next door neighbor came over with a bottle for me to try. It's in the fridge getting cold! For later this evening.
