Here is the link to the thread of pics that Ace took for me of the old set up. In the FTS it is kind of hard to see, but the left side is all rock and that is what I will be using as it was drilled and rodded together.

Oh, I remember that bad boy. Served as inspiration for my old setup. Nice photos Ace!

Ok, I have made small strides towards possibly getting closer to the end of the building phase. Stand needs one more light sanding and a final coat of stain. Ordered some more pieces and parts today for equipment. My dry rock for the back wall and overflow arrived last week.

Plan for this weekend is to have stand finished and possibly put into place. Alexis decided we are repainting the living room along with new flooring finally and replacing all the trim - fun stuff - so that will slow me down a little. Plan is to paint the wall and replace the trim on the wall that the tank is going on this weekend. Don't know if I will have all that done or not by Sunday evening..... Ok, I will be honest and say there ain't no way it's all getting done by Sunday. On a side note - sometime this weekend I will finally be doing the rock wall using dry rock, mortar, and egg crate. Lookin forward to that.
I promise I will put something for pics up by Monday.

    Trust me it ain't patience.

I wanted to build with the best equipment I could not possibly afford so it is taking a little longer to save up and pay cash. Plus being out with the back injury has taken a lot of steam out of my drive to do hard work, bending in precarious places to plumb or build, and I have been in a bad mood since the beginning of March. Ok, I had some progress today and some set backs over the weekend.
I was able to hang out with Ace, Jack, Christopher, and Justin today. We planned out the rock wall and had a good time getting half of it done. That's the good part.

Bad part is I ran out of mortar so I didn't finish the wall. Also, I started the stain on the stand and canopy and it went to garbage pretty quick. I used a product by Minwax that I had never tried before - it is a one step stain and polyurethane mixture. I will never get near it again. It came out streaked and blotchy no matter what I tried. My stand is now going to be black, which I really didn't want to do.

I will be finishing the painting of the stand and canopy this week and ordering more Acryl so I can finish the wall. Hopefully by next weekend I will be moving the tank into it's new home and continuing with the build. I will need some help with the move if anyone wants to hang out for a while.

I think Justin took a couple of pics of the wall as we were building it. Hopefully he will post up later.

Some proof that we were actually working...

Left structure visible (turned clockwise 90 degrees).

Ha, that's funny Christopher. Y'all wore REJ out, he has been asleep since everyone left.

You could have got a pic of my better side though.

Hahaha! The REJ photo is awesome. Here are the two I took:

I thought we were all having fun until I looked at this picture. Looks like Jack was having a stare down with the rocks
