Supposedly when they get big, they could potentially hurt fish and other inverts. Ours got big and used to lunge at fish as they went by. He never caught any, so maybe it was just wishful thinking- "if only I could catch that fish."

Anyway, have heard of them not getting along with other shrimp. Not very sociable...
