    Lightbulb Still FREE!!!

    Hey webbies!
Just wanted to make sure you guys aren't missing out on the free stuff on here (with all the focus on the paid member benefits)

    * providing meaningful content is totally free and welcome from webbies and charters alike! Post something and I will try to give it my best shot at a serious and relevant reply

    * replying to posts in the for sale forum is free, posting wanted ads is free

    * reading our fantastic TOTM reports and newsletters is free. Some really good free content there. I've learned something from every TOTM we featured so far... maybe we'll give away 'What Would Troy Do?' rubber bracelets as door prizes at the next Quarterly Reef Social?

    * attending our awesome meetings and workshops is free (unless there is a small material fee) and SO WORTH it!

    * actually meeting people in person (what are the odds for that on RC?)

    there's probably more...

Our TOTM socials are free too - except everyone pays for their own food from Chester's - yum!

Just to add on to the "attending our awesome meetings / workshops" for free... not only that but most of them serve food, sometimes a whole meal. And I'm here to tell you, if you haven't been taking advantage of this (brisket at the March frag swap, enchiladas at the holiday meeting, and lots of snacks each month along the way) then you are truly missing out... Talking reef with friends, learn something new about the hobby I love, and free food - that's pretty hard to beat!!

    Hey guys (and female reefers)

it has come to my attention that this post has offended some web members. Just wanted to say that was not my intention at all. I am pretty excited about some of the things we are offering here like the workshops and of course putting so much of my own time into TOTM I am pretty proud of that as well.

My goal was to point out the positive side and the good things that are available to all - not to imply web members are free loaders on anything like that.
