I am getting out of the reef hobby due to other livestock (cattle) demands on my time and am selling my complete reef tank with fish and corals. I will not split up the tank and sell individual pieces. The entire setup cost well over $2500. I am asking $750 or best offer. Serious inquiries only please. I can not ship the tank or livestock - it is pickup only. I live on Ft. Sam Houston.

You should consider selling the sailfin separately so it can go to a bigger home....just a suggestion.

Thank you. I appreciate your recommendation re: the Sail Fin Tang. I would certainly consider selling the Tang separately so that it could go to a larger tank, but I don't want to get into a situation where I can't sell the tank because I have a few fish or corals remaining that are not compelling enough to buy the setup, or that drag out the sale. Any recommendations?

A $20-30 fish won't hinder your sale. Waiting for someone to buy the complete set up might though. A lot of people start by selling off fish and coral... which sell fast if the price is right. Equipment sells on an as needed basis.

Thanks for the recommendation - I am concerned about selling lots of individual items because my time is so limited. Do you think selling the corals and fishes in groups and then the tank and accessories would accelerate the sale process?

definitely. you could designate a single pickup day for all livestock and probably move most of it that day.
