    Default Coralife 1090 Pump

Have a question. Currently I run that 1090 on my Precision Marine Bullet-1 skimmer. Well last night was did a water change and cleaned the beckett valve. Well it was fine last night, and then this morning I noticed the tank sounded differently. I could tell the beckett wasn't making the bubbles like it should. My question is, do you think the pump is going out or does it need to be cleaned. The tank has been up for alittle over two years, same age as the pump. I haven't cleaned it due to the fact the way the pump is plumbed with the skimmer. I would have a a mess on my hands. The pump works, but it seems at a lower output. So what could it be? If the pump is bad I have a Mag 12 is could use for a temp. The only thing is the Coralife has 1" fittings while the Mag12 has 3/4".

Run vinegar through your pump to clean it. In mean time run your mag12.

due to the design of the impeller of that pump if something gets stuck, it's near impossible to dislodge without complete disassembly. it's easy to do, but getting a pump disconnected is not always easy.
