    Default Copepod

so I'm down at packery channel this evening looking for pepperment shrimp when I noticed what looks like loads of copepod. Are these things safe or not is the question. They don't look white like the typical ones.

Copepods and amphipods are the sign of a maturing reef tank. They populate your tank naturally, so there's no need to collect them. But if what your seeing really is copepods, it's okay if some make it to your tank.

cool, I wasn't sure because they are more of a brown color and are a little bit larger than the typical "tigerpods" you might buy over the counter. I didn't put any in my tank but a friend of mine is going to freeze his and feed them to his tank as food. thanks for info.
