    Default Algae Turf Scrubber

So I am really wanting to incorporate an ATS into the new tank at some point. I was wondering, for those who have ran them in the past, why did you stop using them? I know Ping had great results with them but now that he left for Florida...

And if you are using one, are you having great results as well? Would you mind posting specs and pics?

I would like to know the same thing for sure because i thought about using one as well. I am guessing that it is considered old technology maybe or something. I could be wrong.

here is the post where i started talking about the ats i had on the 240

i was already skimmerless on that tank, but i saw a huge reduction in algae growing in the tank and on the glass once the ats was really settled in. i only stopped using it bc i sold the tank - i think don (the tank buyer) was continuing to use it. i considered adding one to my current tank, but decided the bioload would stay so much lower that i wouldnt need it.

This will definately be something incorporated on the 360. I will still run my skimmer but I'll have a large ATS going as well.
