    Default Fun Fish Store Memories

We spend so much time at the fish store. Anybody got any special memories?

My daughter was nearly born at Polly's in Universal City. (just kidding on that part)
I went into labor on a Wednesday morning.

We drove into town to see the midwives and they told me to pass the day doing something I enjoyed so obviously the choice was clear:
    to the fish store!

I picked out a nice big leather coral at Polly's. While in labor it seemed to take really long to get it bagged up but I made it! And still managed to take the coral home and acclimate it properly before giving birth to my daughter later that day.

Hm. Maybe that's why I am especially fond of Polly's... good times! My kids still love to go there

That's pretty hardcore Karin. I think people may have a hard time topping that one. :P

You don't have to top it. Just something fun you associate with a fish store visit. Like the time when you...

I agree w/ Ramsey. That's freaking hard core to the max! I guess one of my favorites was when B&B was less than a mile from my house. I loved being able to swing in there after a long day at work and chill out without having to drive across town.

    WOW KARIN!

I miss B&B! They were the best. Jeremy had a great atmosphere at the shop. It reminded me of Cheers.

Nothing crazy here....but best memory is just shopping at B&B with JT and Clone! JT and I used to goof around trying to score good deals teasing Kevin and Jeremy about damaged goods....lol it would get us cracking up...

B&B was on my path home from work so naturally I always had an excuse to stop by after work.

    I miss b&b as well.

I've spent some time in AD's talking guns with Jason... Or politics. And I'm really into neither.

    I've never been to B&B! :(
And when Jeremy was at Reefs2U he always seemed a little weird and aloof to me :o
I was happy clone was there since he was so helpful (drilled my sump for me!!!)
Then we had the fragtastic meeting and it totally changed my mind about Jeremy.
You could tell he was a bit nervous about presenting (totally adorable!)
And he had mad skills with his different techniques for different corals and all of his awesome power tools (totally impressive!)
It was a great experience getting to know him better that afternoon and changed my view of him from 'meh' to 'WOW'.
Absolutely made me decide that from then on if at all possible my reefing dollars should go to Reefs2U. Sadly he sold it shortly after though (what a let down) :(

my favorite reef store memory goes back 20 years when I met Robert at Darby's for the first time. I was getting some clown loaches for my first ever 20 gal freshwater tank.. he had a "reef" tank in the center of his store that had a single large Gold stripe maroon in it along with what seemed like 4 or 5 rose bubble tips and lots of macro algae.. I was hooked... thanks Robert.. i have spent probably $30,000 on this hobby since then

I have a few favorites, but for Texas it has to be my first visit to Texas when Mizeny was kind enough to show me the ropes and escorted me to a few lfs: AD's and Texas Tropical. She hooked me up with Jason on my tank setup and the rest is history.
