Distance be between grass shrimp areas I use and the jetties are about 30 minutes away from each other on a clear driving day. During Spring break it would probably take an hour or longer between the sites. Nerites snails are seasonal. There might be some where I usually collect them, but they are almost certain to be really tiny. Like the size of a bee-bee. There are always a couple of different favorite spots that people use to find various things.
Clothes To Wear:
Upper Body: Any old tee shirt will work
Lower Body: Shorts usually do the trick
Hands: a good pair of leather garden gloves help to lift and hold rocks when I'm looking for porcelain crabs. I like a good steel\aluminum rimmed net with smaller type holes usually works best.
Feet: I like to wear a good pair of tight laced sneakers in and out of the water. I use a pair or older sneakers for this, not the good ones you go out and about in, but the ones we were to cut the grass and do yard work. Sneakers keep your feet from being cut by oyster shells and other foreign objects.
Skin: Wear sunblock if you burn easily. It's easy to lose track of time while collecting
