Looks fun but probably wouldn't be effective. After taking out my rocks, blow torching them to crispy nothings, and still having babies sprout up I have decided this is the only sure way.... just BEWARE: They could eat coral too!

They've been around for some time now. I forget who originally created the first one but SWC is mass producing them now.

The person that first ran with scissors ruined it for the rest of us.

Sounds fun. But it's more expensive than I expected! Wow. Also it says not to submerge it past the maximum water line. But I don't see what the waterline " is...

Paul from RC invented that zapper.
Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...

I am sort of having the same concern about this as with the other stuff:
Sure that one dies but will it be stunned/die fast enough to not release tons more planula into the tank before it's demise?
I've treated a few (just had a few) in my tank and the big ones did die. But now I have tons of babies cropping up in the substrate. NOT cool.

So whatever I use to get rid of it next will have to kill or stun on contact before any babies are released

Reading the instructions on this thing where you have to prod it several times - that doesn't seem like instant kill to me...

Boiling hot water in a syringe. Works like a champ. DO NOT TRY TO BOIL YOUR RO/DI THOUGH!

boiling water works best, ive boiled ro/di water before with no ill affects. now if you super heat water in a microwave and just a drop of cold water is introduced thats bad, it will explode out. but yea i even use ro/di in my coffee maker, amd humidifier on my cpap.
