With mandarins, as with seahorses it's not just the aggression level of the fish you need to keep in mind.....rather how greedy of a feeder they can be. Fish like wrasses can gorge on the food WAY faster than a mandarin can, so if you have them in a tank together the more passive feeders (the mandarin in this case) can often times end up starving.
As far as jumping goes I have had a few of them go over the top on me in my personal tanks over the years.
