Thread: Quake Video

    Default Quake Video

While I cannot even begin to comprehend what the people in Japan are going through and what they still have to overcome in the future, I found this video on KSAT today and was amazed. Not sure when this video took place, but after researching it I cannot find an accurate date. I do not think it was recent.

Did you see the video of the large whirlpool that formed during the tsunami? Boats looked like legos compared to the size.

I have seen a bunch of videos of the current destruction. I can't imagine what it was like going through that.

Chunky, you and I are both in public service and I ain't scared to admit that I would be lost dealing with half of the current situation.

The whirlpool was truly a force that I wouldn't want to be in.

The destruction is far worse than what we saw in Katrina and el Salvador.

Those poor folks are going to need a lot of help in the next few years.

No one would be prepared for that. It knocked the earths current axis off by ten inches due to the displacement of land. Scary facts are getting scarier.

The temperature in the ozone layer above the north pole is getting colder and good ol' CFCs are creating a larger hole at a faster rate with cooler temps. Wear your sunscreen folks.

The red cross is taking donations. You can even specify that it goes to the earthquake relief.

Agreed.....My police lights could only do so much, lol. I couldn't imagine even where to begin...especially when they said at least 1000 bodies washed on shore. Physical and emotional mess.

I think that was from the earthquake in 1995. It's one of the most disturbing videos to me, because it's so calm. A peaceful and serene park, being ripped open from below... there's no where to run. It's the stuff of nightmares and horror movies.

There's so much damage and destruction already, but they still aren't safe. Those power plants... it could get so much worse.

Most earthquake have an effect on the planet. But what really surprised me was that japan moved east or west by about 8 feet.

Not to cast an ugly light on human nature, but some of the more notable crimes during Katrina were by the police.

My original post was about the video itself. It amazed me.

I will do my part to help, however small to help in any way I can.
