We had a center brace failure about 18 months ago.
We bought two clamps like the ones listed here - http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=5334
Use a 3-4 foot 2x4 on both sides (front & back) of the tank so the clamps would not have direct pressure on the glass. Also, do not tighten clamps to much, just maybe a half turn after you have made contact on both sides.
Keep your pumps running and possibly run an air stone.
We did end up fixing it ourselves but did not trust our work on a 240gal tank and ended up selling the tank. I would ask someone who has done this before and have them re-silicone your center brace.
Also, what size of tank is this? Dimensions?
