I get a very similar reaction from time to time when cleaning the tanks at the shop, I always thought it might be from the salt residue and friction irritating my arms. Been having it off and on over the last 2 years or so, and if I think about it, usually around the time my nasal allergies are bothering me, so John may have found the right train of thought to catch ;)
