i am no russ, but i bet any ice crystals that formed in the membrane chamber could really mess up that membrane. should be pretty easy to check once you get the new fitting and get it running again.

so are u telling me mine is no good anymore. mine is outside. it froze and when it defrosted the inlet line for water had sprung a leak. so i disconnected it. i havent gotten the new fitting to see if that was the problem.
