Mega-Flow, Quick-Flow - other options?

I am loving my new cube. Even the stand is fantastic.
But wow compared to the Mega-Flow overflows on the DSA tank the Quick-Flow assembly on the Marineland cube is LOUD!

It's not the part going into the sump. Plumbing beneath is all top noth with 45 degree angles and a reverse durso in the sump.
It's that pipe on top that makes it feel like you are having lunch beside Niagara Falls.

I'd hate to spend the money on a Mega-Flow kit just to use that one drain pipe out of it.

Do I have other super quiet options?
