We have about 1/4" of ice under about 1/8" of snow here in Cibolo. I'm kind of disappointed that it changed.

Be safe everyone - I'm off to work.

Snow Day!!! Work is closed. I took a step outside and realized why...treacherous, even though snow is less than an inch.

We got a little dusting after all.
Enough to get the kids excited anyways.
Sorry for everyone that still has to go to work though!

You know the people up north are laughing at us, work closures for that. Call us Texas folk winter sissies. I got to experience real snow the few years I was in Kansas City. Taught me a thing or two about drinving in the snow.

You know in the midwest you can walk into your homedepot/lowes and buy your truck a snow plow.

I left the rodeo grounds last night at 11pm got home around 1am(18 miles). Roads where iced over, much better this morning with the snow on top of the ice coming into work. Sure was a pretty picture this morning.

So glad I don't have to go to school today! Now I don't have to give a speech! Yay!

Even though this is basically nothing, it is good to see snow again. The last time I saw snow was in South Dakota, 2002 to 2003, December to February( I was 5 years old, until January). The snow was insane! It covered most cars, ground to about a foot above the cars, and about 3/4 of most larger trucks! I vividly remember how much snow there was because I got a ladder and placed it against the house. I climbed up onto the roof... jumped into the snow... and I didn't even reach the ground!!! I was pretty much stuck! I was also very small for my age, about 2.5' tall and 35 pounds, despite the fact that I ate like a pig! lol Good times...
