Now that would make sense.. LoL.. I think I'm going to do just that.. What did you use in order to hang your fixture? Do you have any photos? I'm wondering if I can find something at like Lowes or something...

You can by thin steel cable by the foot at Lowe's. Then fasteners should be right beside them. And then just get a couple hooks to screw in the ceiling.

But how do you make them adjustable, so you can raise and lower them?

    here's my seahorse LED fixture:

you can see the cable going through the clip and the loose end on the side. You can pull them up and down through the clip (push pin down to make it movable, let go and it's tight again at whatever height you left it)

Dustin...the tank looks much better without the glass tops. Good call by removing them. It will look sweet if you hang the light.

@Karin, that is too funny because I was looking at those hangers while you were probably typing that. Thanks so much for the help and the photos.

@Mr. Cob, I think it looks better as well. Plus I think I will get more out of my T5s and get my drags to start growing.

I went ahead and bought what I need to hang up the lighting until I get the hangers so I don't have to worry about my fixture tanking a bath.
