I owned a Nikon D60 and it is a sweet entry level DSLR camera. Its easy to use and it has on board guide that will tell you what the different settings are for. They don't make the D60 anymore as of about 2 years ago I think so you can get one pretty cheap now. I think a new D60 with kit lens is about $500 or less. I paid $700 when it came out.

Im currently in the market for a new camera myself so ill be tagging along to see what everyone else has to say.
