I had both of these for about 4 months and have really been paying attention to providing sufficient food for them.

Since it was the big one that faded out, it was probably old. If they live 2 years at best, it was already big, and you had it for 4 months, that's what I'd like to believe.

I've had mine about the same amount of time, and it's good sized. It's doing quite well now... I don't want to jinx it, but I'm worried its considered elderly. The shell sure looks well aged.
