    Default Nextreef Protein Skimmers

Nothing revolutionary here, but it's cool to see another "Made in the USA" alternative on the skimmer market. The blue acrylic tubing looks pretty unique too!

Yeah Rob, that color sucked me in too! I've got both the regular mk1 reactor and the XL version too, and I love the build quality of nextreef. I'm wanting to upgrade to a RC skimmer and if the price is right, I think I'll go with this new skimmer once it comes out.

Speaking of build quality, I won a Wet Acrylic rubble box at the year end meeting, and I love, love, love it!!!

Thanks, Cory, appreciate the compliment and glad you like it. Just out of curiosity, what size tank are you using the rubble box on and what thickness of gl***** I think we might need to make two versions...one for those with thick glass that will require 3 magnets and then the current one with 2 magnets. Anyways...if by any chance you or anyone reading this has a rubble box that does not work with your tank..let us know and we'll swap it out or mod it so that you have one that will work.

So, I found their website: http://www.nextreef.com/skimmers.html but I guess they have not released their skimmer line yet....was curious on prices. Their reactors look crazy nice and I especially like the Hang on adapter...that was a thoughtful addition.

I ended up putting it on a 60 cube that has 3/8" thick glass and the two magnets hold just fine. I had some loose mushrooms in that tank that were always moving around so I added them and some rubble to the box. Worked like a charm.
