    Default IceCap closing its doors

    looks like it finally happened IceCap will be closing its doors, looks like i need to buy some extra ballast.

    looks like you can buy the whole company Chris! I am surprised they didn't make it. it seems like in addition to their direct stuff they also partnered with quite a few other companies to supply components.

    That sucks!

    Ive had several Icecap ballast through the years. Top notch product and customer service. Hopefully the one who buys or takes over the company is able to provide a great product as well, that is if anyone does buy the company.

    Im sure there will be many used ones for sale for years to come, but without the gurantee of ICECAPS customer service anymore im not sure I would buy them.

    This really bums me out. Had a few 660's over the years and am using one right now for VHO bulbs. The ballast is over 8yrs old and works like a champ. Going to miss their support.

    That new aluminum hqi, t5, led combo fixture they put out last year was so awesome. Hopefully someone will pickup on their line and continue it.
    I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.

    Wow. This really stinks. But, that's what happens:

    A cheaper product from China gets sold, and people complain because there is no customer service. But, they want cheap prices AND good customer service. The business doesn't work that way.

    The above also seems to apply to LFSs...

    I still have two running my MH and have had several over the last few years. A shame to see a company go out with such a strong product...or products.
